R9 390

So I've been looking about the internets in search for a card that will drive most modern titles really well, won't be incredibly expensive, and will be as future proof as possible since I don't plan on upgrading in a long while. I may be horribly wrong but it seems that the r9 390 with it's 8gb of vram, reduced power draw and full dx12 support fits with all of the above. The question is, once drivers won't be crap, is this this a good choice? Also will upgrading my 600w power supply be necessary if I'm currently running a gtx 560 with an i7 2600?

About the drivers thing, no matter how many people say AMDs drivers suck, Nvidia drivers arent that much better, been on Nvidia side since 2012 and i have had many painful experiences and theyre still in progress btw. 390 seems like a really solid choice for gaming atm and 8 GB should really help down the road, also 600 W should do it if your 2600 is locked one.

600W PSU should be plenty. The 390 under load usually pulls somewhere around 350W at max load. So it isnt that terrible as the 290.

 

It also supports more features then the older 200 series. So definetively a great buy.

 

Grab a Sapphire 390 NITRO. That card has a great cooler, and should leave you with plenty room to overclock if you feel comfortable doing so.
