Nexus 9 for its display and dual front speakers.

But I would still wholeheartedly recommend the SHIELD Tablet because it has dual front speakers and identical hardware to the Nexus 9.

Plus, the Nexus 9 is $399 for 16GB while the SHIELD goes for $299 for the same amount of storage. I would recommend the 32GB SHIELD Tablet as it's the same price as the 16GB Nexus 9 but you get twice the storage.

It's out-of-stock at the moment, but they may be restocked soon.

That depends on how you uses your tablet.

If you use headphones most of the time, then the 1600p AMOLED panel on the Tab S will be a much better pick as the speaker won't bother you as much as you'll be using headphones.

If you're going to use the device's speakers, then I would say the SHIELD Tab. The panel may only be 1200p, but it's not a bad display but the reason is because it's supplemented by dual front facing stereo speakers.

That depends on your usage pattern, and what I'll suggest is to try both out.

Both have microSD expansion slots.

Also, if you like to game, the SHIELD Tab.
