Cool stuff, rings are a bit harder to steal than for example a card.

let your fingers grow fat, keep it on forever

cutting off a finger to get into a door is a bit drastic.

There is an interesting project on Kickstarter about a NFC Ring

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mclear/nfc-ring

It's already funded and NFC Rings shall be shipped in September.

the fuck? why is there no information on the security? i don't want my home to be able to be unlocked with a wireless signal. what if someone breaks into my home in that manner.

A bit drastic until you go to poorer countries where robbery is so common. I mean they're willing to cut off your finger or even hand just to steal something from you.

But of course, you can argue that in poorer countries, the robbers won't even know of such technology until it becomes very mainstream.

Eh, seems kind of pointless to me. Also, kind of less secure if one ring gives access to your home and all your devices.

I would use it because I'm lazy to dig out the key from my pocket and with that, I can lock my phone without having to input my password every time.

Yea, what happens is some hacker has a hand ring reader and reads your code and then re-writes it on his and opens your front door or buys up a ton of crap? Its secure use needs to be described, otherwise another gadget that will be sitting in your trash bin in a few months.

Also, I never ever wear jewelery, don't plan on ever buying a ring, not my thing.

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.

I'm not a security expert but if I were to do it I would have id's assigned to the devices, and if one gets stolen or lost you should be able to revoke it's access.

There would also be an alternative for everything. The phone would still have a pass code, the doors would still have keys (or pass codes), etc.
