Far Cry 3, DX11 & DX9 Which Is Faster ?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if you ran Far Cry 3 on Ultra + HDAO + Enhanced Alpha to Coverage, would it run faster on DX11 or DX9 ?
For me personally ( and I found this to be quite surprising) the game runs slightly faster with DX11 (68FPS as compared to 62FPS).
This was running on an HD 7970 + an FX 8320 @ 4.4Ghz.

For some reason Anti Aliasing doesn't work with the DX9 Farcry3.exe so I disabled it on both benchmarks.

i havent even tried dx9 since i was getting 60fps on my system

im getting 45-50 max ,if i create fire and go maniac with rpg 30 ...interesting 

AND INCREDIBLE BAD frame timings even with fps cap settings

Yeah , I noticed it too, the stuttering, it's very annoying in DX9.

So DX11 is faster on your system as well ? what graphics card do you have ?

ok not that much of difference in fps maybe 10-15 as max but stuttering is far more annoying

If  you have a DX11 card it will always be faster than DX9.

nop thats like saying a truck that handle 50tonnes is faster with 50 tonnes

dx11 = causes more load on gpu 

dx9 = less load on gpu more fps less frame timing IN theory (amd drivers has major frame timing issues on few dx9 titles)

My understanding is that in DX9 your card can't do its full potential while for DX11 it can. In my situation i always had better fps in dx11, so idk...

After a little research, I've found that DX11 can be more efficient (therefore less demanding) than DX9 but DX11

is heavily demanding!

dx9 is an older standard, dx11 comes with the newer (but still old) features like msaa, hdao etc. Dx9 is supposed to look and run worse but for AMD's newer cards they seem to do better with Dx11 which is what you should be doing with a 7970 anyway.
