My case HD Audio cable is not working i think. Bought it from msy (i fucked up) and i don't know whether the red wire is meant to be outside the black tape. I don't know what to do. Should i try get a refund, buy a new one or is there a cheaper solution

First - no problem, if the cable is out of the black tape, most case cables are like that

Second - do you use front audio ports? If not, then there is no need to plug this in, I don't use it, I don't have it plugged in

If you have a long enough cable, the motherboard has audio ports on the back

I am Using the audio porta at the back of the motherboard and that is all fine but what about my microphone (communication is key in most games)

Doesn't your motherboard have also a microphone port at the back? it should be pink colored
