Corsair Carbide Air 540 - Question

ExCaliBruh
Go to solution Solved by hooh888,

So Im starting my new build and got all my parts ordered. They should all be here by tomorrow or friday. Anyways the question is the magnetic fan filter for the Air 540. Is it mountable on the top as well? Cause the top fans have no stock filters on them, and I saw on the corsair website that they sell the magnetic front fan filter. Was wondering if it'll be a perfect fit on the top as well. Or should I just get other fan filters?

Just tried on mine.

The filter is too thick for the top panel to close properly.

Silverstone has the best IMO, and the 2x 140mm fit nicley on top of the 540 and still fit under the mesh. You can also use ladies pantyhose for an effective and cheap fan filter.

Is this the fan filter youre talkin about?

that's what i would recommend too. I have my Power supply on my Air 540 filtered with one of these. Very easy to install and clean.

If would don't want to spent so much for the whole kit, they have the fitting single ones too.

that's just the top filter.

Yeah there's no need to spend so much, just that my OCD wants me to cover up everything.  :P

That's perfect! Thank you!

No problem, been using it for quite awhile, and I must say all the provided dust filters does the job well, though some of them remained clean after half a year of usage. Mostly due to the positive air pressure that I've set up in my case, but at least when the PC is turned off I can sleep peacefully knowing the dust protection is still there lol.
