PLEASE HELP ME

 

I got a desktop from friend

 

Blew fuse in power supply

 

replaced power supply after 6 months 5 min ago

 

doesnt have 6pin power adapter for my graphics card (gts 450)

 

I put in older smaller graphics card (no that old it still has hdmi and white port for video)

 

Plug white ended cord into red graphics card and screen

 

screen acts like its waiting for moniter to come on

 

turn pc on and it works

 

but wait, wheres the display on the screen...?

 

the screen doesnt change

 

-should I use VGA cord. Is it the graphics card? it it because i didnt take my gts 450 out and left it in to look cool?

 

Is it because I also installed an additional 2 Gb of RAM. (ddr2 liike the RAM already in there?

 

Please Help

 

I need it like now,

Try using VGA

With how this is typed, I imagine it as like a boxing match..Ohh his power supply is down. After the round is over he got a breather. He is almost in perfect shape....

did you install the drivers for the graphics card? sometimes you need to use vga from the mobo until you install the gpu driver, then switch to gpu
