My father wants to get a new laser, wireless printer that can copy/scan and has cheap ink refills. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

We have a Canon Pixma 882 and it is great! Have had no problems with it: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004HO58UW/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And instead of getting the ridiculously overpriced canon ink you can get off brand ink for super cheap! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004X23ULW/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1

There is a newer model of that printer available and it is cheaper, so  I would get that instead.

Brother Multifunction printers are great.

Personally I have 2 brother printers and they work great. Their toner cartridges while might appear expensive at first, but each one prints upwards of 2,200 pages or more depending on the toner cartridge.

They are heavy, bulky, and big. Make sure you have the room for them. The quality is also less than what you would get from an expensive inkjet printer.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Users cannot, and will not securely manage key material. Most users can't and the ones that can, wont.

Ask me about Bitcoin, Litecoin, Crypto-Currencies, and/or Mining them.

That looks like a really nice printer

This Samsung printer is excellent. Has everything you need. The pink costs about 30$ and it has a yield capacity of 1200pages. If you buy the 60$ toner it will give you total capacity of 3000 pages.

I'll run this one by him too :)

I'm not well versed on printers but if possible one that doesn't require you to have both color and black ink at the same time. My current printer won't let me print text docs if I'm out of color ink, too many times have I gone to Wal-Mart at midnight for ink.

thats why i like brother printers i can buy bulk in and fill them all in less than 5 min and not need to deal or f*ck with empty or refilled cartrige pop ups(ive seen them pop up alot with people using costco ink on certain printers).plus when u run low u just order morewhen your bottles run half empty, 26 bucks gets a kit that will lt me refillrefill the colors 4-5 (lc-60cartriges)times and it comes with 3 times that for black although i never seem to us a lot of black as i have a laser printer for text documents and scanning black and white documents
