use magicjellybean to get your product key.

You can clone a drive but the drive must be as big as the amount of data from the source drive.

You can always create windows recovery media on disks or a thumb drive.

You can also clone the drive with hddrawcopy LINK: http://hddguru.com/software/HDD-Raw-Copy-Tool/

 

A word of advice: do not leave both drives plugged in when booting as windows does not like it when you have the same OS on two drives with the same identifer........

That will only work if there is a recovery partition on the drive.
