Hey guys, first time here. I've been home building for a couple years and am reasonably good at it (never killed anything that I know of). My current PC is doing pretty well, but i've saved up a couple hundred bucks ($500) and as a graduation present to myself i'm going to improve my Rig.This machine was cobbled together from parts i've gotten as gifts and scrounged so its cost me very little (less than $400 out of my pocket). I'll list parts below and I am hoping you guys can help me pick out where my biggest bottlenecks are and choose a few upgrades.  Thanks a bunch! Let me know if I missed any critical Info or put this in the wrong place!

I would get new monitors, that seems to be the only spot you are lacking.

maybe look at some 144hz 1080p panels?

Thats great news! I dont really have any tech friends or news sources so I have been kind of building in a black hole. In that case That is where I will look. Is G Sync worth the money yet? Any recommendations of what I want to look for in gaming monitors? They are my oldest hardware and honestly I have not kept up.

Okay that sounds pretty good. If its the kind of thing that is necessary I would jump on it. Any suggestions? Both in terms of wattage and 80plus level? I had this one RMA twice from Cooler Master so not sure I want to buy from them again...

Everything still seems pretty good, I'd maybe get a nice 1080p or 1440p GSync Monitor (120/144Hz). Other than that, if you really wanna upgrade something I'd get 16GB of RAM and a 500GB SSD you can store bigger games on.

Cool. Its nice to have my machine check out with some real tech people! The monitor is definitely my next big buy. Right now I only have my OS on the SSD, haven't really heard about game performance on them. Does that make a big impact? I could use more space for the premier work I do, so maybe that would be a great buy. I like the sandisk I bought but I hear people recommending intel, samsung, and kingston. Any big pick there or reason to buy one over the others?

Okay from the sounds of things a new monitor and a larger SSD are my big holes. So for the SSD I think I can figure out what fits in my budget. Monitor is where I need help. I like the sound of GSync since screen tear is something I notice a ton. What I need then is a suggestion for a good looking monitor (I know little about monitor tech) that maybe has GSync and isn't $700. Or just a good looking single monitor besides.

Suggestions?

Thank you all for your amazing feedback and help! I really appreciate it.

Any Seasonic, EVGA, XFX, Corsair PSU looks good at around 600W will do you good with 80+ bronze or gold efficiency.

Awesome. Thank you very much. I think my current one is bronze but I will have to look and verify.

Oh if it is already bronze, upgrading other parts instead would be better :)

So at $400 at best buy (where i have a fairly large amount of credit) I saw this guy. Looks like a pretty great display and meets my big wants, (better than 1050, Gsync, 144hz) Any reason why this display isn't for me?
