Hi... I used to play a lot of TF2 about 2 years ago, and the prices for items on trade servers were getting weird, when i last played it was 7 refined metal for 1 key, but i logged on again yesterday and it was 16 refined for 1 key.... wtf happened?

I dont like TF2 anymore and prefer to play other games, i just wanna know what happened to the trading.... did the market crash or something??

Inflation.

Every paid account gets regular drops that get converted into metal - the effect is the same as a government printing more currency - the value of that money goes down.

Also, don't forget that the guy who used to run Steam's "economy" is presently running the Greek economy...
