As above said this isn't an open beta. You need to pre-order the game in order to get the beta key.

You can pre-order on Amazon, get the code, then cancel the pre-order. The code is still valid and it doesn't cost you a penny because pre-orders take money from you when they come out, not when you order them. But it's UPlay and eww.
