Help installing windows 8.1

Go to solution Solved by JefferyD90,

Hi there,

so I've gathered all the hardware for building a PC (first time) and now i'm thinking about getting info about running Windows on this thing.

it has been addressed in one of my previous post, but I've still got questions:

I've seen this "g2a.com" before, and i've gone on the site and from what i gather i can purchase a (hopefully legal) product key for AUD $55.

Does this site just allow me to purchase the key and I'll have to download the actual files onto a usb to start the boot process on the new pc?

Will this step allow me to upgrade to windows 10 when it is released?

the other one i've seen is the http://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/ which i have no idea how to navigate through.

Are either of these practices not recommended or certain actions i should be aware of?

or what cost-efficient and legal way would you install Windows onto a new PC?

help is much appreciated

I (personally) would recommend you just pitch out the $100 and get a copy from Microsoft.  You can get the digital download copy and all is good.  These other sources have been known to sell VL copies or codes that just give you a year unlocked.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!
