Problems turning off my pc

Go to solution Solved by Cyrus49,

Hi there, I recently got a new computer and after a while decided to add a sound card.

After adding that the computer then decided then that upon hitting the power off (on the windows interface anyway) on occasion it would turn off and then a few seconds later would turn on.

Would to know what might cause it and if there is a fix I would like to know as well :)

Many thanks in advance!!

Go into command prompt and type : powercfg -devicequery wake_armed

Then go into device manager, right click on those devices, go to the power management tab, then unclick "allow this device to wake the computer"

I hope this helps :)

Tried, hope it helps :) odd thing is that my keyboard I have a hard time to believe is sending any commands after power off (and it started before I got this particular keyboard) perhaps the mouse somehow hijacks just before power off? (it is rather sensitive :))

Or maybe some sort of packet reaches my NIC just before it turns off :)

anyway, thanks! will let know if it doesn't help :) otherwise many thanks!
