Hi guys,

I just built my first computer and I have some issues with this fresh build.

My specs:

cpu: i5-3570k
cpu cooler : corsair h100i
mobo: gigabyte z77x ud5h
ram patriot viper 1866 mhz
gpu: msi gtx 770
psu: corsair tx 650M
HD1: samsung 840 120gb
HD2: WD black 1tb
case : fractal r4

So here we go! The first problem is that I can't figure out how to access my mobo bios. During the bios screen I keep pressing esc to access the gigabyte bio but it wont recognize the key entry.

Second. Sometimes when I boot my computer it makes some boot cycles before completely booting up (turn on and off )

Third. Can't figure out how the fractal define r4 front panel led works! I know this seem basic but I keep connecting and re-connecting those damn two wires and it doesn't work

Thanks for the help!

Try using a different keyboard, like a Ps2 keyboard isntead of a USB keyboard, second no idea, 3rd I dunno. My Antec 300 front LED for the HDD actvity doesnt work. MAy be dead.

What interface are you using for your keyboard?

Some older motherboards require you to use a PS2 connection...

It's also worth noting, if your keyboard is connected to a usb3 port switch it to a usb2 port. I doubt your keyboard needs the extra bandwidth and the usb3 drivers are frequently not loaded on startup.

I can't think of anything for the second...

And try changing the polarity of the plugs for the LED. My motherboard and my HDD led are actually opposites... (- goes in +, + in -) Odd but diodes are directional.
