H80iGT TIM

I have a Corsair H80iGT and was wondering if the TIM on the block is sufficient or if I should put my own TIM on it.

 

I have some left over TIM that came with my Zalman 9700NT CPU cooler (Super Thermal Grease ZM-STG1) But that stuff is a few years old now, so maybe get some newer type of TIM.

Welcome to the Forum.

 

If you're only applying the H80i GT once, you should use the stock TIM. It's apparently pretty awesome.

If you're reapplying then the Zalman TIM should be fine.

Corsair uses TIM from Dow Corning. It's better than most TIM you can buy.

cool, so it is the first time I am mounting the H80iGT, so I will stick to whats on the block.
