Freesync Eyefinity ?

Hello,

 

I am thinking about getting three eyefinity displays (probably XL2730Z). Will eyefinity work with freesync?

 

Only info I could find on google is what AMD said in a conference call that eyefinity+freesync will require the monitors to be identical.

@klj613 im going to say no because i think free sync only works with display port and good luck trying to find a gpu with 3 display ports that can power the monitors and play games without spending a tone of money

IIRC they don't support eyefinity with freesync.

I don't think they support fs eyefinity

But there are a few cards with a lot of dp's, the fury x and the 295x2 if I remember correctly

dont torture yourself with that bezelfinity shit....

 

get a 21:9... like 34um67 = 34" of IPS goodness @ 75hz with freesync

 

- and start actually enjoying games

 

 

if you HAVE to have 100+hz and freesync, im afraid there are no 21:9s like that yet announced, just two gsync ones

You're planning on 1,5K-1,8K $ of screens ...

The best would be one good GPU and a nice freesync monitor ( MG279Q or the likes ),

Or you could go for one ultra expensive 21:9 144hz 2440x1080p ips like monitor

Reason I wanted 3 monitors is for productivity and racing simulators. Be good if AMD includes this question on their freesync FAQ.

3x1080p is about 25% less pixels than 4k and 3x1440p is a bit more than 25% more pixels than 4k. So 1 should be able to push decent settings at 1080p, 2 would be better.
