Lets talk future cards

Ryzone

Sup guys! I'm pretty bored so I thought some of you might want to talk about new cards coming out. Here are my questions / points of interest.

1) Do you think there will be more cards coming out later this year for Nvidia & AMD?

2) What about AMD and Nvidia GPU's coming out in 2016 how excited are you for the new architecture's?

AMD--->Yes difinetly new cards (Fury Nano,Fury)

No I am not excited for 2016 cards because there is no competition and unless AMD comes up with something really good by the end of this year we all know NVIDIA is going to make some 2x more powerful architecture

Or they won't. Depends. I bet they won't unleash their most powerful Pascal, because they need to make as much profit as they can. There will be some kind of "technical difficulties"

How stoked would you be if AMD pulled some mind games with releasing the Fury X, only being able to barley keep up with the 980 ti. Then Nvidia is like well we have nothing to worry about. Then AMD drops the Fury Nano and it just smokes everything on the market ^.^ haha one can dream

-snip-

^^this is what I'm actually exited for.

Unfortunately, Pascal could be PCIe 4.0, since its 10x the power of maxwell, so it couldnt be used in any of our systems..

But if it is PCIe 3.0, I'll buy 3 of the new Titans and SLI those in my system and watercool all of them :D #SavingMoney #NotReally

Are you talking about the current Titan X or a possibly pascal Titan

A pascal titan... hopefully.

I mean 10X performance is ridiculous, so its probably PCIe 4.0.

And if it even was 3.0, and using the full 16X link, the max SLI anyone could do is 2 cards since 3 cards puts a card in 8X.

Damn there's so much new tech coming out it seems bad to build a new PC now.

1. New monitors coming out

2. Skylake

3. Zen

4. PCIe 4.0 (coming in 2017)

5. Pascal

6. I know there's a lot more

I have high hopes for ZEN so it can crush Intel's CPUs in performance so Intel gets their ass moving lol. I am also stoked for pascal because it will be using HBM V2, NVLink, and supposedly massive performance gains.

I don't think there are anymore cards being released other than the ones we already know about. Nvidia hasn't even brought out their low tier cards, "910-950" (I don't think they will even bother as there is no point)

Spoiler

CPU: AMD R7 5800X | CPU Cooler: Corsair H115i PRO | Motherboard: MSI B550-A PRO | Memory: G.Skill RIPJAWS V DDR4 3200mhz 64GB | GPU: EVGA RTX 3080Ti FTW3 Ultra | PSU: Seasonic Prime 1300w | OS Drive: Samsung 850 EVO SSD 500GB | Games Drive: Samsung 850 EVO SSD 1TB | Media Drive: 2x WD Blue HDD 1TB in Raid 0 | Media Drive: 2x WD Black HDD 2TB in Raid 1 | Case: Corsair Obsidian 750D | Monitor 1: ASUS PB287Q UHD | Monitor 2: ASUS PG278Q WQHD

I really hope that Zen can offer some competition, but I get the feeling it is going to to be like fury x vs 980ti, powerful but not enough to get people exited. But at least it's going to put them in a better position then the one they are in right now.

I'm curious about Nvidia's naming scheme for their next line-up since it would be easy to mix up gtx1080 with 1080p like "Hey man are the new Nvidia cards any good at high resolutions?" "Yeah, it would be a sin to run the 1080 at 1080"

This. Pascal + HBM 2.0 = even more bad news for AMD. AMD might as well sell out to Samsung so they can become competitive again.

Ryzen 7 3700x | Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro WiFi | TForce Delta 32GB DDR4 | WINDOWS 10 64 BIT | WD Black 1TB NVME | Intel 1TB NVME | WD Black 4tb HDD | Nvidia 3080 FE | Seasonic 850w Platinum | Fractal Design Meshify C Tempered | BeQuiet DarkRock Slim |
