I keep getting a BSOD notification whenever I wake up my computer from sleep. I never actually see the bluescreen, only the windows report whenever I wake it up, so I assume it is occurring when the computer is going to sleep and not when it is waking up.

Two of the most recent notifications are here:

Have you got the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility installed? It may be something to do with that, I would try uninstalling that and see if it continues.

It is a WDF violation, which indicates a bad driver, and the last driver in memory at the time of the crash was AcpiCtlDrv.sys, which is to do with the aforementioned Intel Extreme Tuning Utility.

Another potential candidate is MotionInJoy controller utility, if you have that installed then try uninstalling it and see if that fixes the issue, if either of those actions fixes the issue then try and install the latest versions of those applications and see if the issue continues to occur. I have a feeling that it has nothing to do with MotionInJoy though, because I didn't see anything to do with that particular application.

If you want to figure out how to diagnose BSOD's for yourself then download Nirsofts BlueScreenView and use that to see what was the last file in memory at the time of the BSOD, usually that will point you to what caused the BSOD.

I get the same thing on win8.1

If you're having the exact same BSOD as the OP including the BCP codes, then try uninstalling the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility as I mentioned above, otherwise make a new thread about your issue, because the reason for your BSOD could be different to the OP, I hope you can fix the issue, but without further details such as a copy of your last 2 memory dumps then I nor anyone else can help you unfortunately.

If you can upload a copy of your memory dumps to a cloud storage service for me to download then I will be able to take a look, but you will be more likely to get better help with a new thread, so please do that first, thanks. :)

Hey, just took a look and it looks like you need to update your Ethernet drivers, and also update your WiFi drivers if you have a WiFi card installed too because the last file in memory was AFD.sys which is to do with networking.

I'll check through the rest of the dump files and let you know if anything else caused the BSOD's.

Edit:

The previous BSOD was a Driver Power State Failure caused by the AFD.sys file, so yeah, definitely update your Ethernet drivers and keep an eye on the system, if you have any other BSOD's then let us know, but just to be certain could you make sure to update all of your other drivers as well, some of your drivers are more than 3 years old, so check to see if newer drivers are available.

Huh. Alright Ill give that a go. I just built this PC so I figured everything would be up to date but I guess not.

Did you use the driver disc? If you did then that would be why the drivers are out of date.

Edit:

I've just rechecked the BSOD files, and could you update your bluetooth drivers as well please, the file causing some of the BSOD's is btmhsf.sys. If there are no updated drivers or you can't find them anywhere then try disabling your bluetooth adapter in device manager.

I went to MSIs website and found the drivers for my motherboard and updated all of them. That seemed to fix it and one of the drivers was for bluetooth I believe.

I did use the disc initially but I had thought I watched it search for and download updated drivers once it was able to connect to the internet but I guess not all of them.

Thank you for your help. Never would have figured this out on my own.

Here's hoping you don't get any more BSOD's, and I generally try to avoid using driver discs because by the time you get any device the drivers stored on the included discs are massively out of date, the only time I will ever use them is if I have no connection via WiFi or Ethernet, in which case I will install just the networking drivers for just long enough to get the updated ones off the website.

And you're welcome, that's what we're here for, to help those who need it, if you have any more problems then just ask. :)
