Yesterday I was having issues with a slow computer, so I decided to flash the OS. Unfortunately that failed and I had corrupted my OS. I first tried to wipe my drives through the install process and then re-install. It worked until a certain point of having my OS running, but then when the window that asks if you would like to allow the program to make changes to the computer (by re-installing software) the computer fails. The screen flickers to a dark background for a bit, then freezes on the wallpaper, and task bar. There you can do nothing, and when I press the windows button it leads to a blank screen (same color as I selected during set-up). The same thing happens when I restart and try to log in. After this I tried a complete wipe of both my drives via windows (awful idea looking back as I lost a lot of important files, but thats one me). I believe this process is called refresh. Then again I tried my SSD and hard drive and again nothing. My next attempt to fix this was to install on my hard drive as there may be something wrong with my SSD. No bones, same issues. Next attempt to fix it was to re-download my instal media (USB) since that would make sense (at least to me) as the issue. Once this was done I had re-installed on both my SSD and hard drive. Still I am left hopeless. Throughout this whole process I have also tried to re-install via a old-backup and the automatic repair that windows has. Again neither yielded any results. I would try to look this up online but I am not sure how to ask what the issue is. Thanks so much for your help in advanced!

As from my PC build I will link you to the pcpartpicker page that I have. Sorry its lengthy and detailed. Here it is: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/crGc7P

I would like to ask, what exactly did you do to "Flash your OS"?

Thanks for responding! I went in to the PC settings--> Update recovery--> Flash OS

That may not be perfect but I believe thats the way. I then put in my flash drive which contained my installation media and began the process

Ah, ok I think I understand now.

Basically, your system can no longer finish installing windows, no matter if you use the recovery partition that came with your system or if you use an external source.

This really sounds like you can have a problem with the hardware itself, could be a problem with the memory.   Does your system have more than 1 module of ram memory?  if it does you could try to take out one of the modules and test if you can install windows.

Mystery is the source of all true science.
