For gaming? An i3.  Or if you can bump up to around 150 quid, an i5.

Ghz doesn't really matter, the thing is that core for core, both the i3 and i5 will destroy the FX in gaming.

Doesn't matter. Clock speeds and cores aren't everything. Low-end Intel CPUs can easily outperform high-end AMDs.

I will always choose i5 processor instead of Fx processor.

i5-4440 is best budget cpu imho.

Its price floats between £130-150

I highly recommend keepimg an eye out on ariapc, scan, overclockers and amazon for best deals probably in september for "back to school" delas.

Or get fx-8350 but nothing beats intel in gaming.
