What makes a CPU "stable"?

Go to solution Solved by harrynowl,

An unstable CPU is at a frequency where it cannot accurately perform maths. Which leads to crashing.

Temps, lack of voltage or just too great a clock speed are the 3 main causes of instability when overclocking.
