Hey guys!

So i need to get a silicone that can get hard, very hard, but were i could put graphite in to make it touch sensitive. Help me out!!

I posted earlier about this using graphite and doping the silicone with it, your suppose to do it when you mix part A and B before placing it into the mold and letting it cure. Also you don't want super hard silicone it won't be very good for the screen and isn't going to get picked up y the screen as easily.

I suggest to keeping to one post to keep things on topic.

What would you suggest as the hardest silicone that would be good for a screen?

i'm not an expert on mold making so I wouldn't know the exact qualities that would work best but I would go with something on the durometer of around 40A maybe a little less.

Smooth On has some information on this stuff about hardness and softness or rubbers/silicons (durometer):

Wait are you telling me that the a to b ratio is what makes it harder and softer?

You could use an epoxy resin, that sets hard.

It's not the ratio that makes it harder or softer it's the actual product that has a numbered rating which tells you the durometer of the product. The Oomoo 30 you have selected has a 30A hardness which is basically a gel insole as they describe it and designed for making molds not the product itself:

Epoxy is pretty hard material it may work if doped with graphite but might not be very well since the contact area with the screen is pretty low.

So is a bigger number harder or a smaller?
