Yugioh Playmat as Mousepad?

Will it work? I have a steelseries QCK but the corsair k70 is just built so fucking cheap... i slides around all over the place. so i decided to get kind of a deskmat thing.

 

i looked at razers thing but razer's goliathus mousepads slide around all over the place to so i decided not to get the extended version( I have the normal versions, speed and control)

 

i was gonna pick up some yugioh cards today and last time i went to the store i saw some yugioh playmats, can i use it as a mousepad? it has like a rubbery feel to it.(not the paper platmats, like the dedicated ones you buy)
