Hello i have a bit of a delima... I am in the position of 2 computers and am trying to decide which one to sell so i can upgrade the other... Or to sell them both and create a new rig or buy a moderate gaming laptop.

First rig is my main one atm...

I5-2500k oc to 4.3 on a zalman performa cpu air cooler.

Msi: P67A-G45 mother board

16gb crucial ballistix 1333mhz cas 9 ddr3

Xfx radeon hd 7770 oc edition 1gb

Wd blue 250gb, wd green 1 tb

Lg. Dvd burner

With a 750 or 850w psu cant remember the brand.

All in a nzxt 220 case with a broken usb 3 cable

Random microsoft branded keyboard and gaming mouse

Aoc 22 inch monitor dvi-d only at 1080p

2nd rig is

Amd a10-6800k

Asrock FM2x88m-hd+

600w thermaltake psu

8 gig single stick g skill 1333mhz ddr3

No drives anymore or optical or gpu... Put them all into the intel rig

Crappy 2nd hand apexi case with missing exp covers.

Now i use the computer for whatbi call light gaming... Maxed settings in pretty much all free games lol... League of legends. Smite. War thunder. Robocraft. Starcraft 2 i had that since it came out. Heroes of the storm... Etc...some mmos too. I want to get back into fps games and rpgs.. Currently use console for those...

So i was looking into selling one pc or the other to buy a ssd and or hdd more for performance and a mid to high lvl gpu... I prefer amd gpu.. Just never owned a nvidia one so whu switch... Im not expecting a fury or and new r9 3xx. But i want to play all games at a smooth 60fps at high or mostly high settings....

As for the thoughts about a laptop... I am not sure if i will have the time to really dive into games as my life has recenlty changed so i might decide to stick to my current free and low req games and just buy a decent laptop..

Reccomendations for upgrades relative to what is being sold. And or complete fire sale and buying a laptop of relative price would be helpful. Was looking at r9 270s r7 260x and fx based laptops.

Thank you for your help.

For the first rig just upgrade your GPU and you are good to go.. makes no sense to change anything else in that. Maybe add SSD.

For second rig.. sell it if you dont use it or make NAS from it or HTPC.

Do you think i could get a decent gpu and ssd or haster hdd for the money i get out of the 2nd rig... Thats really my issue i dont know how or where or how much ill get selling my 2nd rig or first... So i dont know if my upgrade goals are realistic... As my budget would be stricktly what i get from selling of other stuff.... Wifes orders. Lol

You can get 128GB SSD for around $50-$60 these days and that is more than enough for OS and software.

If you will be able to sell that PC for around $300 that will still let you with around $250 for graphics card upgrade. You will also sell your graphics card from first PC so that will give you some extra $.

I dont know how much storage you need but something like 1TB Seagate Barracuda or WD Blue would be great to run games on.

Wow thats awesome i wasnt expexting the 2nd rig to be worth that much nor the price on ssds.. I just never looked into them before hand. I forgot all about selling my card lmao. My storage needs are not high just all my games over 30 total and my game recordings i stream and stuff lol just for fun. Both my drives are past warranty and i had a 3rd that has completly failed. So i might stick to a 200 gpu and a 256 ssd with a cheap hdd i dunno. Thank you for your help... And amd gpu reccomendations... I know almost all will be better than my current one but font wanna wish i got something else ya know.
