Question about Steam

I have a lot of games installed in my PC and I am waiting for parts to build a new one, could I copy my games on an external hard drice (or atleast, the bigger games) from my steam folder so I can copy paste them on the fresh formatted hard drive later on so i haven't got to download them?

Yes you can.

 

Copy them from the Steam > Common > SteamApps folder.

 

Just remember to tell steam where to look for them.

Yes.Just rip the drive out of current computer and put in other computer

its a whole new computer and I will need to format the hard drive to put windows on it
