So I was thinking of modding the bitfenix prodigy by removing the bare guts

e.g.

and putting windows on both sides to see the hardware - I dont like the side panel they have atm because it only shows the graphics card

I think you should make slightly smaller windows. A gap of that size would lower the structural integrity of the side panel quite a bit.

Easily done, singularity computers has already done it. as said before i would make the windows slightly smaller.

Honestly, the only thing you'd really be able to see is the GPU, unless there's another window at the other side, but that'd be dominated by the back of the GPU... Sooo yeah..

you can remove everything right from the factory no need for modding all the drive cages and the optical drive slot is just held in by screws and as far as the side panels go the size of that window would be fine the panels are pretty thick and when you add the window the panel should be almost as rigid as it was before.

 

The only thing is the back panel all you will see is cables and the back of the video card so  i recommend if your going to do this you do some nice sleeving on all cables and you get a back plate for your video card.
