Slice the price!

So over the past few days i have been creating a list of parts. In an effort not to get screwed over by shipping costs I intend on ordering it all from newegg. (except the case) so it comes out to about 1650. Is there a few things that could be slightly downgraded to cut the cost? it needs to be somewhere between 1500-1800 after taxes (13%) Thanks.

Don't forget there is a "tech tax" here as well.   I know monitors have like 10% the cost added for "disposal".

Both NCIX and Canada Computers have locations in or near Richmond Hill. Vuugo has a pickup location in Markham. Newegg has a pickup location in Mississauga.

 

You might consider an IPS monitor, Acer H236HLbid 60Hz 23.0" Monitor. I would also suggest a less expensive cpu cooler and better psu. If you are picking up all the parts the budget will support a GTX 970.

In the way of air cooling ive heard good things about noctua. Are they any good? a better company?

 

There are a lot of good air coolers.  Noctua is great.  There are better options under a tight budget:
