Banned because it is, but it isn’t. The metric system is basically a calibration for the Imperial system. Thank the French for those calibrations.

Banned because technically Chinese doesn't exist: There are so many dialects that are mutually unintelligible but they have the same literary tradition (ie. write in one, and the others can read it the same).
