project 64, but n64 emulators are not great to be honest.

Thats not at all true, the only legal way to aquire a rom is to dump your own cart. Nothing more.

Therefore, whether you have an authentic game or not, or whether you have possession of a Nintendo ROM for a limited amount of time, i.e. 24 hours, it is illegal to download and play a Nintendo ROM from the Internet.

Well I highly doubt anyone is going to make a law for Nintendo games and nintendo games alone. 

Feel free to look it up on your own by looking for actual company statements rather then just some random on the internet since everyone is spouting half truths or full lies on the issue.

Well, I apologize if I was misinformed, and the only reason I make a distinction with Nintendo is because they have in the past made some weird choices about what they want legal about their products versus others.

I read it, and realized that if the OP had the tools to get a ROM dump, they likely wouldn't need or want an emulator unless they were going to make a hacked cart and wanted to test it

eh its cool, im not giving you shit for it this is just the only place I can find that has made an official statement (At least with quite research) everyone else is just quoting some guy they heard which is hardly credible.

As true as that may be saying "download games you only have a rom for" is no more legal to do then "download whatever the fuck you want who cares." and as we all know piracy talk/copyright infringement encouragement is against CoC.
