Define R5 Full Watercooling.

callum.mcconnell

So here we go... The PC is currently built but using air cooling and I want to change this.

The current parts in my pc at the moment are:

CPU: i7 4770k (OC to 4.5Ghz

Motherboard: Gigabite G1 sniper m5

GPU: Nvidia Evga 970 FTW(no oc) x2

Ram: 16gb HyperX

PSU: Corsair RM 850

CPU Heat sync: Corsair H100i

HDD: 4tb wd greed drives

SSD: OCZ ARC 100 480gb

This is my first custom water cooled project so I wanted to stick to one brand as much as possible so that I knew that all the parts would work together. Sounds silly but it will also not bug my OCD with different fittings. The brand I chose was EK because there products has a minimalist design that I like and an excellent reputation for build quality. The new water cooling parts are as follows:

EK-Supremacy EVO - Acetal

EK-CoolStream PE 360 (Triple)

EK-CoolStream PE 240 (Dual)

EK-FC970 GTX ACX - Acetal+Nickel x2

EK-XRES 100 DDC 3.2 PWM (incl. pump

EK-UNI Holder DDC ADD-ON

TUBE PrimoChill PrimoFlex™ Advanced LRT™ 12,7 / 9,5mm - Crystal Clear (PFLEXA-12) 3 meters

EK-ACF Fitting 10/13mm - Elox Black x14

EK-Ekoolant EVO CLEAR (premix 1L) x4

I was not sure on how much fluid I would need so I think I got more than necessary. But then I have some spare if there is a leak.

Feel free to give some advice to this poor noob, I need all the help I can get xD

#1. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

#2. It's best to keep your mouth shut; and appear to be stupid, rather than open it and remove all doubt.

#3. There is nothing "wrong" with being wrong. Learning from a mistake can be more valuable than not making one in the first place.

You wont need 4 litres of coolant for this build

I know :) I just wanted to be covered in case it does leak. I have another 10L of  deionised water to clean the components as well before I install them.

I have changed the pipe routing a bit . Instead of the pipe going from the rad to the top of the pump it now goes to the bottom next to the pump out pipe. This is so that could bleed the bubbles our easier
