For an entire system HWMonitor is pretty good, for just CPU temps I like RealTemp and for CPU frequency CPU-Z is the weapon of choice for everyone.

I use hwmonitor when I used coretemp I got a virus warning so I didnt use that but apparently some people have no problem with it

You probably used their self installer which contains crapware, if you use the zip one under more downloads it is nice and safe. :)
