Gmod Crashes (Fresh Install)

So ive been trying to get garrys mod working on my side PC FOREVER.

The problem is, when you launch the game it starts downloading my 300 workshop addons. gets a few done then crashes. Sometimes this crash takes the entire steam client with it. Alt tabbing while it downloads= crash. Leaving it running on main menu= crash. Loading up a map and actively playing the game while addons are downloading= crash.   My laptop had no issues idling on menu and grabbing all the addons, so this much more powerful side PC desktop should be able to do this.

Googling seems to return no similar issues.

Verified the cache
Re-installed 3 times

Maybe you should unsubscribe + delete all of your addons and start from fresh.

Yeah i dont want to do that and screw up my main pc that has no issues with the current addons or adding more.
