Router suggestion?

Go to solution Solved by Samfisher,

Ah, just checked and you can't buy that here in Sweden anymore it seems :P Any other suggestion?

Not sure about the price for this there, but the TP-Link Archer C7 is also a very good choice, better than the WRD4300.  The C7 is one of the best reviewed and performing WiFi routers out there.

So my friend is getting a 100/20 fiber connection any day now and he asked me what router he should get for around 100$ and since i don't know that much about routers and since there are soooo many out there, i'm asking you. It should have really good signal strength since i assume that he's gonna use Wifi and his computer is in the basement. He games a lot and has a few other people in the house and he is the only one that understands that you need to allocate the speed when downloading, etc. So he probably needs QoS as well.

Suggestions?
Thanks :)

The TP-Link TL-WDR4300 is a really good choice for all the above.

Thanks for the tip but it seems like the TP-Link Archer C7 is a bit better :P

well it depends what u mean by better

when it comes to range, both 2.4ghz and 5ghz the Linksys EA6500 wins it also has great 3rd party firmware support because of its CPU

i gets it comes down to what is more important for me its Tomato firmware support since QoS is most important to me

That wasn't the one you linked ;) allthough, both of em sounds really good, this router isn't for me, it's for a buddy of mine. I would totally choose a router that has 3rd party firmware support, even throw more money at it, but he wouldn't :P
