Headphone worries

Okay so I recently bought some Cooler Master Storm Sirus S 5.1 headphones. I know that it needs a sound card that supports 5.1 surround sound to get the 5.1, but is this headphone back wards compatible with standard HD audio? Like the standard 2 jacks. One green and one pink?

It should be, I don't see why it would be unable to do so.

if it has the green and pink jacks on the connectors its fine to use and will work normally just won't sound as good as it should.

I have this headset, i ran into the same problem as you. But the next day i bought a sound card, because i wanted to use full 5.1.

Yes. Only the mic and fonter speakers work.
