Title says it all. Would there be any issues?

If it's a B85 that was invented and/or produced after Haswell refresh came out then it'll work, but if it's an older one off the shelf then it will need a BIOS update. To be guaranteed compatibility, either get a H97 motherboard or an i3-4130 instead.

Luckily BIOS updates are pretty easy to do. Just look on your MOBOs website for the new BIOS.

I'm assuming OP would have more than one CPU lying around. I have 17 just in boxes...

Budget i3 build? Yeah i bet the OP has 17 in boxes laying around that are LGA 1150 and are compatible with H81.

Depends what you're looking for, honestly for a budget build it'd be cheaper and just as well performing to go with an H81 board and a i3-4130

Which may or may or may not have the newest BIOS version flashed... ya id rather pay the extra 10-20$ to guarantee i can actually use my cpu. lol

Do H81 series m/b need a BIOS Update to work with Intel I3 41xx series?

I wasn't talking to you... I was talking to OP. They never said anything about having a bunch of CPUs laying around and not everyone has that luxury.
