So my PC doesn't start up, it doesn't even POST. I already got the CPU tested and I also took the mainboard for repair twice.

Specs:

Mainboard:Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P

RAM: 8GB Samsung PC3-10600R DDR3-1333

CPU: AMD FX 8120

PSU: CS450M 450W 80+ Gold Modular

So around the CPU-Power there are numbers (1,2,3,4) printed on the mainbord but if I plug it in (and it's almost impossible plugging it in wrong) the PC doesn't POST.

I also used another PSU. Do have an idea whats wrong?

It turns on, the CPU-Fan is spinning, but then it stops spinning and nothing happens.

Thank you!
Martzel

Do you have a case speaker? If not - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Desktop-Computer-Mainboard-Internal-Connector/dp/B00JM1XZL4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1434739862&sr=8-2&keywords=Case+speaker

If so plug it in and listen for any beeps. They'll tell you what's wrong. No beeps means either dead board or power issue.

  • 2 weeks later...

It didn't beep, I also used a 800W PSU. So it might/must be dead?
