Get a 990 mobo instead of a 970 because I have heard they are a lot more stable on *3** AMD CPU's such as the 8(3)50 and 6(3)00.

Also def get a better case, a shit case is never fun to build in, as far as the PSU, I would 600w

If you need hard drives then here's what I'd recommend: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1k3uN

  • 2tb barracuda
  • 120gb Samsung 840
  • fractal design core 3000 usb 3
  • Asus m5a97 r2
  • sapphire 7870 ghz edition
  • AMD 6300
  • CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo
  • Corsair cx500m Semi Modular
  • Patriot IEM limited edition 8gb 1600 kit
  • Asus dvd drive

I don't know about you but for $770, a system doesn't get much better.

*edit: If you're about to ask. Yes! SSD's are bloody important!

export PS1='\[\033[1;30m\]┌╼ \[\033[1;32m\]\u@\h\[\033[1;30m\] ╾╼ \[\033[0;34m\]\w\[\033[0;36m\]\n\[\033[1;30m\]└╼ \[\033[1;37m\]'

I don't need an HDD. I'm going to take the one I have now and use it in this new build. Honestly, I couldn't care less about how the case looks, I just need something that will get the job done.

As for the 990 mobo, I'll look at it and see. I really just wanted to know if that PSU would be compatible with my build, as I plan to run another 770 in SLI later on.

For 770 SLI, Corsair CX 750w (get modular one imho) will do its work.

So... If Jesus had the gold, would he buy himself out instead of waiting 3 days for the respawn?

CPU: Phenom II x6 1045t ][ GPU: GeForce 9600GT 512mb DDR3 ][ Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P ][ RAM: 2x4GB Kingston 1333MHz CL9 DDR3 ][ HDD: Western Digital Green 2TB ][ PSU: Chieftec 500AB A ][ Case: No-name without airflow or dust filters Budget saved for an upgrade so far: 2400PLN (600€) - Initial 2800PLN (700€) Upgraded already: CPU

The psu will work. Why not get a 7970 which is nearly neck to neck with the 770 instead to save money and to get more vram?
