You know something that has always pissed me off when using Xbox controllers ( 360 and XBONE )

Is that they REQUIRE DOUBLE AA BATTERIES.  I mean what the hell man ?! It's been goddamn bloody years and they some how don't understand that people want a rechargeable battery.  I mean it's not like the damn thing costs any less it still costs 60$ to get a new XBONE controller.

And you know what the new elite controller suffers from the same damn thing, why on earth are they doing this ?! Are they sponsored by double AA battery companies or something ? Also the damn thing is just basically a Scuf controller. Shit you can get a better and nicer controller from Scuf for the same price.

I mean I know you can battery packs for the thing, but that requires a charging station plus the rechargeable pack itself.

Yea that is my rant, the end. Get your head out of the gutter Microsoft.

...I have a wireless and a wired Xbox 360 Gamepad that I use on PC. The wired one is about 8 years old, and is still going strong. I've never had an issue with it.

The wireless one, I have to change the AA Batteries every three months or so. That's two batteries. That's about $8 a year. (A 4-pack of Energizer batteries is $4.) If I am gaming intensely, as I was when beating Grand Theft Auto V, I had to change them after about a month. That's $4 for two months of batteries. That would be $24 a year, and that's with playing for about 8-10 hours a day.

They don't eat up batteries as fast as you think they do.

The point is that Microsoft needs to get their shit together. People don't want to buy batteries. I don't want to buy goddamn batteries. It shouldn't be that hard to implement a rechargeable battery like Sony has. With their kind of money and R&D team

Oh I see..... Yeah they should have like rechargeable battery inside..... Makes the controller lighter as well (probably smaller too).

The batteries make the controller heavier.....

Micro USB cable? Can't you use one to plug it in without requiring batteries?
