so i wanted to down load tera today so i could play with my mum but instaed of downloading it i just connected a hard drive to here pc coped the file and moved it over to mine and i have the file but steam isn't picking up the game and i dont know what to do i want to try starting the game from the application but i dont want to break anything 

 

so if any one knows what to do that would help a lot,, i dont really want to download it since its 30+gb's but if i have to i will i just thought that sinch it was already on mu mums PC i could just cope it over to mine am i wrong ??

Start the download, then pause it, find the directory it made then put the game in said directory, at that point shut down steam and restart it. try and resume the download it will say something along the lines of "discovering existing files" at that point just let it do its thing if it doesnt say "discovering existing files" its not working correctly, lettme know I can try and be more specific since I did this with GTA5.

There is also (At least there was before) an option to Backup game, it creates one big file(or more files if you want) and then you can copy it to another computer and use option Restore and choose the file.
