I am someone who is looking to get into PC gaming. I want to play games at 1080p at max settings and later at 1440p or an ultrawide. I have been researching a lot and still have a couple of questions. My first is on the motherboard. I do not know a lot, only that Asus is a pretty trusty brand. So I could use some guidance on a mobo. Next is which 970 brand is recommend. Also with the graphics card, what about the 300 series? I know its still early but does it sound like the 970 will still out perform. Lastly the power supply. Is this a good one? I've heard things about 12v rails and need help. Thanks so much for taking the time to read through this. Don't want to spend above $800.

Since you're not going to be OC'ing, went with a non-overclocking board, and then changed the PSU, cause it came with a deal with the mobo, you don't need the extra fans, this case already comes with two, which is more than enough in most cases.

That motherboard wont work with that CPU. In order for Haswell Refresh CPU's such as the 4590 to work on Z87 boards, you will need Haswell CPU's (Not Haswell-Refresh) such as the i5-4570K or the i7-4770K in order to flash the BIOS to make Haswell Refresh CPU's work.

What do you recommend then? I don't really understand the sockets match up so I'm not getting why they wouldn't work together
