Dome keyboard sensitivity?

I bought a new dome keyboard a few weeks ago and it's been fine until today where suddenly the # key is getting stuck, the only time it isn't stuck is if the physical key is take out of the keyboard, the dome is super sensitive to touch compared to trying to push down any other dome on my keyboard, what could cause this or fix this? with the key in all i get is ##################################

 

 

Zalman Z9 Plus - GTX 660 TI - i5 2500k @ 4ghz - MSI 1155 Intel P67 - Corsair CMPSU-750HX - 16GB G.Skill Ripjaw 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 - Seagate ST3500413AS 500GB - Seagate ST2000DL003 2TB Backup Storage -  Old CBA to change it.

not really an option right now, they cost a lot of money, can't find one cheap, at least not in the uk.

going to see if i can get it replaced through amazon if it really can't be sorted..
