Attic Network Switch

If I get a Cisco 48 port Ethernet switch (Enterprise Grade) can I stick it up in the attic. It has five fans (Look like 90mm), its max OP temp is 104°F which I will defiantly get above in my attic. Its already hitting 94°F here and its not even July. My other option would be to put it in my closet which would be fine I just don't feel like making a whole in the wall for a couple of Ethernet ports.

its probably too hot

 

put it up high in a closet where you won;t see any holes

I'd probably wouldn't put it in the attic it gets too cold during the winter and too hot during the summer. The closet would be the best option.

There are NO fanless cisco switches with more than 12 ports.

Shut the closet door and u will be ok

Closet doesn't have a door. I didn't need 48 ports I just referenced that one. I need about 8 at the moment and I'll be adding more

Looks good :) BUT i prefer Cisco
