My PC specs are at the end. Let me just run through the issue. So a couple months back my PC would randomly shut down when playing GTA V. No warning. Suddenly everything would close and it would shut down. I thought it was an issue with cooling as I had a stock fan and a slow HDD but now wish a fresh new Windows Install on the SSD, and a powerful CPU cooler I am losing hope. This issue only occurs while playing CS:GO and (rarely) other steam games. And  GTA V ofcourse. My temps are kept below 60C and my fans never ramp up. I just suddenly get the "Shutting Down" screen on Windows 8.1 and I am left hopeless. I honestly have no more information. I get no error message, or notification. Nothing. It just shuts down. With this said, I need your help. Any ideas would be great. Please don't be the guy (or gal) that suggests I reboot my PC or that I get. The former won't help (Since I turned it off a million times inbetween) and the latter has already been done when installing Windows on my SSD. Also I have considered my PSU being too weak. But I honestly doubt that as nothing is OCed and this didn't happen when the PC was new. So i doubt it suddenly became an issue.

PC Specs

CPU: AMD FX-4130

CPU Cooler: Silentium Fortis 2

Fans: Silentium fans (3 currently Installed)

MOBO: Gigabyte 990 FXA UD3

GPU: MSI GTX 770

PSU: BeQuiet! 600watt 80+Bronze

Case: Zalman z11 Plus

SSD:Crucial M550

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB (7200RPM)

I will add these incase they might be causing some kind of glitch (or key/mouse combo) that tells Windows to restart (Although I doubt that)

Keyboard: Corsair K70

Mouse: Tracer 15 dolalr mouse

Mic: Blue Snowball.

Your PSU isn't too weak, but it may be malfunctioning.

If it malfunctioned I doubt it would actually give you a shut down screen... So it's probably a software issue,

@PolishXlion - Check for viruses, worst case scenario you will have to reinstall windows if you didn't already...

Seems like lot of people have a similar issue to yours:

Do a quick google search and tell me what have you found...

I wish it was only an issue with GTA, it has spread to other things. I will run a Virus scan again but i doubt that's the issue. Also after adding a support ticket about that to GTA they politely told me to F off. So...

I was considering that. But in that situation it minimizes my window and tell me about it. Here is just shuts down my game.

I remember it now, same thing happened to me quite a while back where it shutted everything down without telling me, try disabling updates and see if it helps, if not, maybe there is an event executed each time you open something and use it for a while before it shuts down the computer? Check the msconfig and auto startup folder (install a start menu app and find it under all programs)...

Hope we can solve this issue, on the other note, how did rockstar politely tell you to f*** off?

Closed my ticket without looking at it. Told me not their problem. Will do what you suggested. Thanks.
