Setup for 3 monitors

Go to solution Solved by Peter Vaughan Truslow,

Looking to upgrade my setup massively, Wondering what graphics card I should get to run 3 monitors?

was looking at the GTX 690 since it has 3 DVI ports, also looking at the GTX 980 TI.

Not trying to run games across the monitors just will be using one monitor for gaming, just want something that will have the power to live stream and still give good frames.

Also getting 144hz monitors that I'm pretty sure can only be ran at 144hz if using DVI just throwing that out there.

Thanks for the help in advance :)

honestly a 970 could handle that.

I do not have a budget cause I will just save for what ever I need to get.

I play CS mostly but sometimes games like Dirty Bomb, L4D2, CoD, Battlefield 4. that's it currently.

want to be able to Stream while playing games at high frames, Medium setting is fine cause shit Medium looks better than console anyways, but I mean high settings would be preferred.

i think you'd be happy with a gtx 970...maybe check benchmarks and youtube videos of the card running the games youre interested in and see if the performance is good to you? we are talking about a 350$ gpu that drive newest games on ultra settings 4xMSAA at like 60 to 80 fps for the most part...and will do 120fps in most games if youre willing to drop the settings to high or a mix of medium high...for 1080p its a very capable card.

| CPU: Core i7-8700K @ 4.89ghz - 1.21v  Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING  CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 |
| GPU: MSI RTX 3080Ti Ventus 3X OC  RAM: 32GB T-Force Delta RGB 3066mhz |
| Displays: Acer Predator XB270HU 1440p Gsync 144hz IPS Gaming monitor | Oculus Quest 3 VR

Now let me ask you this, what would be the frames I would be getting if I were to stream? is frame drop from the GPU or the CPU?

that i'm not too sure about, but people are streaming games on ultra settings with similar hardware without issues as we speak on twitch so i would say probably very negligible but i don't stream myself so i'm not too sure...but a 4790K and GTX 970 can defenetly run and stream the most demanding games without a hitch at 1080p.

But if you really have money to burn on this you can go with something along those lines, this is as good as it gets, you can pop in another 980ti and run them in SLI and stream 4K gaming with this if you want to, the more sensible option is i7-4790K and Z97 and GTX 970, but this is as good as it gets:

my atvise is go for 144Mhz for CS GO and FPS games. go for 3 screen setup for Racing games.
