Guys! i need your help!

Let me get straight to it so an hour ago i looked in task manager and saw that under Performance it says Cores: 2  and the speed is locked at 4 GHz all the time now and i have no idea why this is so i took a look in CPU-Z and it too says Cores: 2  Threads: 4 and again the Core speed is locked at 4 GHz when i remember it would go higher than that :/ 

 

I'm using an i7 4790K

I really need to find out if this is a setting thats been messed up or if its the CPU it self thats the problem

Go into your BIOS when booting (Called setup, something like that) and go to overclock settings. Then make sure all of the cores are enabled. If that does not work, reset the CMOS

Check with the BIOS
