Mafia II slow motion bug

Hello LTT-community,

 

 

during the current steam summer sale i bought a copy of mafia II. i played like 45 minutes and everything was normal. but while trying to steal a car the game sets to ultra slow motion and becomes unplayable. neither restarting the mission or game works. i searched the web and there are quite a few people who have this bug... but their solutions wont work for me. please help! 

 

does the game require a patch or something like that?

There's literally nothing to do other than just wait it out sadly.

@Jobbe03 well that sounds weird... these slow motion moments are terribly long like 3 to 5 minutes? can i return the game to steam?

Slow motion or lagg ? Check your gpu usage during those moments

@Generallee it is a real "slow motion feature" because i get constant 144 fps according to msi afterburner osd.

Wow, weird. Try installing the latest drivers or even the beta drivers.

 

EDIT: Try turning V-sync ON as it happens.

I know, it's a bug. Super annoying.

 

You can, but i'd say it's worth playing through.

It should only happen once though
