Overclocking a 4790k

Hi,

I'm new to this whole Benchmarking and Overclocking thing, and I would like to know how to over clock and benchmark my system properly. The problem is, BIOS looks a little to intimidating for me to mess around with, especially with the "If the voltage is to high you'll explode your PC" thing. Is there anyway I can over clock without going into the BIOS? Or do I have to just spend 6 hours on YouTube and forums looking up what to do? If it helps, here are my system specs:

 

CPU- i7 4790k

MOBO- MSI Z97 Gaming 5

GPU- Gigabyte 4GB GTX 970 WINDFORCE

RAM- 16GB of G Skills Ripjaws X Series DDR3 1600mHz

Oh, and my Cooler is a Corsair H110i GT

Try 46 on the core multiplier and 1.23V

Don't do it until you fully understand the entire process so that you can diagnose and troubleshoot any problems you encounter. Overclocking, if done right, is a very time consuming process.
