Hello there,

I am about to buy computer for trading and I need your advice. Which parts play huge role while I am trading? Everything must be fast because in seconds I have to decide whether I should buy or sell stocks. On my laptop it's so slow that everything is late few min....

All I have is 2x4gb patriot memory 1600mhz ddr3 and some fans. I need the rest. What would you suggest? I think I don't have much space for case so I would be more than happy to buy micro atx mobo.

I'm assuming you'd be doing lots of multitasking.  Will you be using multiple monitors?

ECC memory is a good thing to have for trading. I remember a past trading build that had it.

You won't need much for a GPU. Enough to run like 2 monitors should be fine? Just get something Nvidia so its actually stable.

I'm not sure about CPU usage on trading programs, but I would think at least an i5.

For now only one, but later yes, more than one.

I just watched this video

It seems graphics card doesn't play any role. I have two radeons 4850.

I also think that higher resolution would be better than 1080p so I can open more windows.

Something like this one?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/8GB-2X4GB-DDR3-MEMORY-RAM-PC3-10600-ECC-REG-DIMM-/230593057331?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35b06ad233

So I could buy used 3570k, micro atx motherboard, ecc memory or use patriot which I have, one radeon 4850, 128gb ssd, small case and budget psu. Is it better to use win 7 or 8?

Sounds like you're on the right track. ECC memory isn't compatible with the 3570k.  I might go for a graphics card of similar spec, but with more memory if you plan on multiple displays.  As far as the OS goes, it's whatever you prefer until windows 10 comes around.

AMD cards are plenty stable.  Sure, their drivers were shitty in the past, but I haven't had one of their drivers crash on me in 2 years.  They're perfectly stable now.
