I work at a LAN center in Colorado and we are about to upscale massively to a new location. We are going to have 300 gaming computers in a single building. The main issue we have right now is power. Right now we are using 8350/280X based systems and we can only fit about 7 systems on a single 20 amp circuit. Utilities are also a nightmare.

Most of out customers play CS:GO, League of Legends, DOTA and other fairly non graphic intensive games. We aren't utilizing these systems and would benefit more from more lower power builds than a few high power builds. I've been working on a system that is more power efficient but will still play these games.

Here's what I've got.

Might be too low power. I'm worried about FPS. Keep in mind that we are building about 200 of these. I'd really appreciate it if you guys can help me refine this build!

if you give cs:go players pentiums they will riot and kill all the staff. get atleast i3's.

Something like this would be enough for your needs.

We need to conform to OSHA standards. 100+ computers in a single room adds up quick. Is there a case you would suggest instead?

Just get a bigger cooler on the cpu and one slow fan in any case and it won't be loud at all, you could pretty much make it semi-passive.

Location: Kaunas, Lithuania, Europe, Earth, Solar System, Local Interstellar Cloud, Local Bubble, Gould Belt, Orion Arm, Milky Way, Milky Way subgroup, Local Group, Virgo Supercluster, Laniakea, Pisces–Cetus Supercluster Complex, Observable universe, Universe.

Spoiler

12700, B660M Mortar DDR4, 32GB 3200C16 Viper Steel, 2TB SN570, EVGA Supernova G6 850W, be quiet! 500FX, EVGA 3070Ti FTW3 Ultra.

OP

I would change the Pentium to an i3 since the Pentium is basically worthless outside of tinkering. It would be fine for now, but in 1-2 years you would probably need to replace it, whereas the i3 could probably go 3-4 years before becoming an issue.

Drop the expensive case for something cheaper that you wouldn't mind getting dinged up, switch the pentium for an i3 and if you're worried about the GPU peformance change out the 750 ti for a 960.

I believe you that but if you want to be serious about your things, like host amateur pros then an i3 is required, at least in some rigs. the corsair 200r is a good choice. And why don't the people bring their own pcs with them, and you have like 50 spares if the guy doesn't have his own?

Were planning on keeping the 8350/280X builds we already have. Those are serious machines. But we aren't anticipating more than 60 people at a time needing lots of performance. We have a "bring your own computer" section as well. Will support about 40 computers.

as I said, an i3 is the base. you can as well buy some now and add another couple of systems later

you should have gone with intel in the first place bcause...ofc the most played games are mmos, rpgs and mobas.intel has often more than double the performance in those type of games

i suggest this http://pcpartpicker.com/p/LdQq23

first i would not trust corsair rm with their cheap capxon(crapXon) caps for an almost always on lan pc. go with a proper made psu by seasonic with japanese caps. if you want 80+ gold get this

latest i3 haswell, same small TDP+ a very efficient gtx 960.if you are sure that you wont have demanding rpgs like witcher 3 a 750ti is fine

2x4gb ram sticks since the board has 4 slots so if needed you can upgrade but you will have ram in dual channel with 2 sticks

and a good, smaller and elegant micro atx case
